At the end of the period, the students must be able to:

• To distinguish the different kinds of adjective and how to use it in a sentence.

• To display value of respect in God’s creation by a given poem that emphasizes the use of adjectives.

• To improve the skills and knowledge of students by giving them activities regarding the use of adjectives.

Adjectives are words that describe or modify a noun or a pronoun.

Two kinds of adjectives:

• Descriptive Adjectives

• Limiting Adjectives

Some adjectives come as compound words.

• Routinary Activities

• Arrangement of chairs / cleanliness of the room

• How was your day?

• Take a look outside the window. What can you see?

• God’s creation is perfect. God is really good in everything. What can you say about His creation?

• Yes, how will you take good care of the environment?

• Very good students! Let’s go back to the poem.

• Lesson Proper

• Our topic for today is about objectives. In our poem, you find many words that describe a noun. These words are called ADJECTIVES.

• Any word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun in called an adjective.

• Who can give me the three kinds of adjective?

• What are descriptive and limiting adjectives?

• However, there are some adjectives come as compound words.

• I will group you into 8. As sort of Quiz, you are going to prepare a presentation regarding to what we he had discussed today. Your presentation should be about God’s creation. Give and provide words that describe it. Talk about it among your group. I will give each group different activities.

• I will give each of the group the criteria on how will I evaluate your performance.

COOPERATIVE LEARNING GROUP

Group 1Logical / Mathematical Intelligence

Arrange the sequence of God’s creation written on strips inside the envelope and paste them on the cartolina in their proper order. Write the proper ordinal numbers (first, second, third etc...) Present your work to the class.

Group 2Bodily / Kinesthetic Intelligence

Make a drama regarding to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden that shows how beautiful and perfect God’s creation.

Group 3Verbally / Linguistic Intelligence

Create an advertisement about other tourist attractions here in the Philippines. Advertise it using different kinds of adjectives.

Group 4Visual / Spatial Intelligence

Make a slide show regarding to the environment. The slide show must be very detailed. Put different pictures and describe it while presenting it in our class.

Group 5Musical / Rhythmic Intelligence

Compose a song that talks about God and His perfect creation. Give emphasis on the adjectives that you will use. Sing it in front of the class.

Group 6Intrapersonal Intelligence

Draw yourself from different angles while looking in the mirror. Since you are God’s creation, what do you really want to be seen by other people? Describe yourself. (Each one in the group.)

Group 7Interpersonal Intelligence

Since human beings are God’s creation, study and interview each one of you. Analyze their characteristics, what they want and how to interact with them. Write it on a paper. Make use of the different adjectives we had discussed earlier.

Group 8Naturalistic Intelligence

Pick one of the best attractions in the world. Give short description about it and describe it in your own words. Present it in the class. Make use of the adjective we discussed earlier.

• Let’s first have a short review about we had discussed today.
