Teaching Procedure:

Stage Instructional Activity Learning Activity

Set Induction (5 minutes)

Teacher shows computer simulations about the path taken by an impulse in a reflex arc.

Students gain a new idea about the path taken by an impulse in a reflex arc.

Development (30 minutes)

Teacher explains about receptors and effectors and its functions using power point.

Teacher discusses about the reflex arc and the example of reflex arc such as knee-jerk and reactions to touching a hot or sharp object.

Teacher asks student group in pair and carries out activity about the knee-jerk reactions.

Teacher draws a diagram in a whiteboard to show the path taken by an impulse in a reflex arc.

Teacher explains about the proprioceptors using power point.

Teacher asks some students to stacking objects using both

Students focus on teacher’s explanation.

Students focus on teacher’s explanation and take note on it.

Students divide themselves and involve in activity.

Students take note on it by write in their books.

Students give full attentions on teacher’s explanation.

Students involve in activities.

eyes closed.

Teacher asks students to discuss in group the importance of proprioceptors according to the activities above.

Students divide themselves and complete the task.

Conclusion (5 minutes)

Teacher asks some student based on lesson today.

Student responds on teacher’s question.

Follow-up Activity:

- Teacher gives worksheet as homework to enhance the students understanding.

- Teacher asks students to read the next sub topic to make students have ideas for the next

lesson.
