Read the problem solving card and try to solve the problem using the RUCSAC method (see RUCSAC pdf). If you wish, try the extension activity. MORNING TEA LITERACY ACTIVITIES Spelling (ACELA1779), (ACELA1780) & (ACELA1828) We are learning the ‘g’ sound and identifying vowels and consonants. Choose 5 words from your individual list words that you find the trickiest to spell and write these out 5 times each. Write the rest of your spelling words with vowels in one colour and consonants in another. Handwriting (ACELY1696) We are learning to correctly form the letters d, e and f. Log-in to Soundwaves and click on Writing Time to see the formation of letters d, e and f. Carefully look at the way these letters are formed. Complete a line each of the upper case and lower case versions of the letters d, e and f. Writing (ACELY1694, 1695 & 1697) We are learning to edit our recount and type-up our final draft. Last week, you wrote the first draft of your recount ‘My Easter Holidays’. Today you are going to re-read through your work and use your editing skills to improve it. Can you change any of the words, can you add-in extra adjectives? Is your spelling accurate? Have you used correct punctuation? Now you are ready to type up your final draft. You can add pictures from the internet and photos if you wish. Today, you will be rehearsing and recording your original composition to send it through to Mrs George. Be careful… you need to play BOTH the correct rhythm and notes to correctly play your song! You need to rehearse 10 times MINIMUM. Show a parent, get them to keep the beat. Make sure you are counting to keep in time as well as playing the correct letter notes.
