• Students will understand the concept of bullying prevention

STUDENT LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

VOCABULARY:

-Create hand-Will hang up the hands on class bulletin board -Discuss the benefits of knowing how to deal with a bully

GROUPING STRATEGIES

1) After reading, I will ask for 4 volunteers to help me pass out coloring paper, scissors, markers, and crayons

2) Once everyone received materials, I will instruct them on how to craft their hand

3) When student is done with hand, I will inform them to place their hand under their desk

4) Students will pin their own hand on bulletin board when all students are done and I say so

5) Once all students are back at their seats we as a class will create a classroom contract titled “Never be a Bully” and students will make rules up of how not to be a bully

6) One by one I will call each student to sign the contract when done to make it official

7) I will hang up the contract on the bulletin board with the students hands

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES

I will end this lesson with a positive note by reminding them that being a good student/classmate/friend has a lot

more benefits than being a bully.
