Media streaming services also known as Over-The-Top (OTT) media service is asubscription-based service offering online streaming of films and television programs.Streaming services bypass cable, broadcast, and satellite television platforms. Streamingis an alternative to file downloading, a process in which the end-user obtains the entirefile for the content. Users will need an internet connection to stream or download videocontents. Media streaming services are typically accessed via websites on personalcomputers, as well as via apps on mobile devices (such as smartphones and tablets),digital media players (including video game consoles), or televisions with integratedSmart TV platforms.

Netflix was firstly founded in August of 1997 by two serial entrepreneurship, Marc Randolph and ReedHastings. The company began out in Scotts Valley, California and has grew to become one of the world's leadinternet entertain platforms. When it first opened, Netflix was pure a movie rent service. Back then, userswould browse and order the films they wanted on the Netflix website, put in an order, and Netflix would postthe DVDs to your door. After renters had finished with the DVDs, they would simple post the DVDs in theenvelopes provided. Rentals used to cost around $4 each, plus a $2 postage charge. With this model, users could keep the DVDs for as long as theyliked, but could only rent a new movie after return their existing one.
