    Copy projects to use project data with other drawings. Change drawing settings to specifynew annotation, object creation, and cacuation defauts.

    /f this esson has been pre&iousy run, copy these unatered project fies to the LandProjects 2- foder when starting a new tutoria session to ensure that the seuence

    outined in each esson can be foowed propery.

    Copying a Project and Re-associating the Current Drawing

    $ portion of the Lesson32 tutoria drawing 'ust be wor"ed on as a separate project. Sinceso'e of the i'portant data is not stored in the drawing but is stored in the project fies, a

    copy of the project is reuired.

    4ou can not copy an acti&e, current project. !o copy a project, start a new session of

    $utodes" Land %es"top and, before starting a na'ed drawing or associating it with aproject, open the Project (anage'ent diaog bo) and use the Copy option.

    # +ro' the Projects 'enu, cic" Project (anager to dispay the Project(anage'ent diaog bo).

    2 /n the Project section, fro' the Na'e ist, seect !utoria#, and then cic" Copy to

    dispay the Copy diaog bo).* /n the Copy Project !o section, enter !utoriaC for the Na'e.

    - Enter 1uiding site 3 Northwest corner for the %escription, and then cic" O5.

    !he copied project has the sa'e directory structure as the origina project, with the sa'efies popuating each foder.

    6 $s an $utoC$% 'essage diaog bo) is dispayed, cic" 4es to change the projectassociation and to return to the Project (anage'ent diaog bo).

    7 Cic" Cose to cose the Project (anage'ent diaog bo).

    ist seect %etais, seect North $rrow, and then cic" O5.

    #6 Specify an insertion point for the north arrow, the press EN!E@ to accept thedefaut, (agnetic, for the description.

    Editing %rawing Settings

    Edit settings for the current drawing, and then sa&e the' to a prototype so these settingscan be reused.

    # On the Projects 'enu, cic" Edit %rawing Settings to dispay the Edit Settingsdiaog bo).

    2 >erify that the Progra' ist dispays $utodes" Land %es"top.

    * +ro' the Settings ist, seect Aeodetic Labes, and then cic" Edit Settings to

    dispay the Aeodetic $nnotation Settings diaog bo).- /n the Line $nnotation section, in the $< cou'n, cear the Arid and Around

    chec" bo)es.

    6 /n the Suffi) cou'n, enter ' for the Arid, Around, and Aeodetic suffi)es.

    7 /n the %istance 8nit cou'n, seect (E!E@S fro' the Arid, Around, and

    Aeodetic ists. Cic" O5 to return to the Edit Settings diaog bo).

    !hese settings ony appy to the current drawing. Sa&e these settings to a prototype so

    that future projects can use these settings.

    ; /n the Seected /te' section, cic" Sa&e to Prototype to dispay the Seect

    Prototype diaog bo).? +ro' the Seect Prototype ist, seect %E+$8L! B(E!E@S, cic" O5 to return

    to the Edit Settings diaog bo), and then cic" Cose.

    4ou now ha&e a prototype drawing setup that you can use for subseuent projects.
