Agreement

A possessive adjective agrees in gender and number with the noun that it modifies.

The possessive

adjective agrees with the item owned, not the owner.

• Mon = masculine and singular

or begins with a vowel

• Ma = feminine and singular

• Mes = plural

Ma voiture = my car

Your (singular/informal)

• Ton = masculine and singular

or begins with a vowel

• Ta = feminine and singular
