Lenten Overnight Retreat Meeting at the Well of Living Water
We begin by coming to the well. Jesus is about to meet the Woman of Samaria; the Woman is about to meet Jesus of Galilee. They do not yet know what a deep encounter this will be.
Thus we gather this weekend. We bring ourselves, such as we are. We do not know yet who else will be at the well, how the Holy One will welcome us, how we will be offered living water.
This is an overnight retreat giving ourselves time to enter into the mystery of meeting, of conversation that mysteriously opens up, of blessed encounter. We will draw up the waters of our own souls’ wells, and drink deep of each others’ blessings.
Friday, March 6, to Saturday, March 7, 2020
The retreat begins on Friday at 7:00pm and concludes on Saturday at 3:00pm. Cost of $175 includes $10 non-refundable deposit, over-night accommodations, and meals.
Miriam Brown, OP, a Sinsinawa Dominican, is a spiritual guide, retreat facilitator, presenter on current spirituality themes, and team member of the Center’s Spiritual
Guidance Training Program. She has a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Fordham University and directed an ecumenical organization for 13 years. Miriam has an eye for the Spirit’s movement in the world and in the graced unfoldings of each person’s precious life.
Siena Retreat Center features comfortable, quiet accommodations. During your time, you may artistically express yourself in the Creativity Room, walk the indoor or outdoor labyrinths, pray in the chapel, or just find a quiet space to relax.
Extend your retreat: Extend through Sunday to give yourself some quiet, private time. Feel free to join the Racine Dominicans for Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday at 9am. Saturday supper, Saturday overnight and Sunday breakfast would cost an additional $67.
