Ursprünglich wurde dieses fassgereifte Bier in englischen Pubs als „Bitter“ gezapft. Erst mit der Abfüllung auf Flaschen wurde daraus das „Pale Ale“. Anfang der 1980er-Jahre interpretierten die ersten Craft-Brauer in den USA des alten Braustils neu. So wurde das „Pale Ale“ zu dem Bier, das bis heute wie kein anderes für die Craft-Bewegung steht. Eine echte Alternative zum Pilsner!

Originally this barrel aged beer was drawn as „Bitter“ in English pubs. Only with the bottling process. it became a „Pale Ale“. At the beginning of the 1980ies the first craft breweries in the United States adopted this traditional brewing style and added their own interpretations. Hence the “Pale Ale”, has turned into a beer, which now stands for the craft brewery trend like no other. A true alternative to the usual “Pilsner”!
