In 1940, the company started with a unique idea: construct an exit sign using dry

cells that could operate in normal and emergency modes. That patented concept of

dual operation inspired the company’s name. The loss of life in the worst nightclub

fire in history spurred a nationwide uproar that led to stricter enforcement and

addition of safety requirements. Dual-Lite responded by establishing itself as an

industry force. The first dedicated life safety solutions company and the industry’s

first to earn ISO9002 certification, Dual-Lite continues to provide the superior value

The first floor of the new Hubbell Lighting, Inc. in Greenville, South Carolina hosts an industry-leading 25,00-square foot Lighting Solutions Center (LSC). Dual-Lite inverters play a prominent role in the LSC, and also power critical building loads in case of emergency.

The Dual-Lite Preventive Maintenance Program provides additional system warranty

coverage for every need and budget beyond the standard factory warranty. In addition

to emergency service, our factory trained technicians will visit the central lighting

inverter site once a year to perform an inspection and monitor system diagnostics.
