James is the principal architect of Ogier’s local Cayman practice and hasoperated in this market since 1991. He has extensive experience in all types ofgeneral corporate law including the laws relating to large infrastructureprojects in the Cayman Islands.

James is prominent in the Cayman Islands community and a formerpresident of the Caymanian Bar Association and was a council member ofthe Cayman Islands Stock Exchange from 2006 to 2010. In 2016, James wasappointed Chairman of the Cayman Special Economic Zone Authority(SEZA). He is also a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Templeof England and Wales and is a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands.

James joined Ogier's Cayman office in 1991 and became a Partner in 1998.James has previously also worked in Ogier's Hong Kong office.

Angus is Partner in the Banking & Finance team. He is also a member of theInvestment Funds and Corporate and Commercial teams.

Angus has a particular focus on providing regulatory and other advice tointernational banks and other financial institutions with Cayman Islandsbranches or subsidiaries, as well as advising clients on debt issues, facilityarrangements and Specialist Debt listings on the Cayman Islands StockExchange.

Angus is also involved in a wide range of international corporate mergersand acquisitions, capital markets, joint venture, restructuring andcommercial transactions. He acts for a number of the firm's largestinvestment funds clients in relation to new fund formation, on-goingregulatory and corporate advice, and management of liquidity issues.

He received his Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws, with Honours,from the Australian National University in 2000 and his Master of Laws fromthe University of Sydney in 2005.
