In addition to salary the remuneration package will almost always include a bonus component and possibly a car allowance. Bonus percentages vary depending on level and, to some extent, on industry. However, every single company will have a unique policy and it would be misleading to attempt to be too specific. Typically bonuses range from 5% at newly qualified level to 40% at General Counsel level. Car allowances start at £5,000 and can increase to up to £15,000.
