Over the past 100 years new lighting products such as fluorescent lamps or halogen lighting

have been embraced without any regard for the impact to our environment. Incandescent and

halogen lighting use a vast amount of energy; fluorescent tubes are more efficient, but contai

liquid mercury, which is highly toxic. LED lights use a fraction of the energy, contain no toxic

material and the majority of the components can be easily recycled at the end of their life. Hig

An LED (light emitting diode) is a semiconductor which has an extremely long life. At 50,000

hours of use at a favorable ambient temperature the LED will be at 70% of its original light

output. It is commonly suggested that we replace LED lamps at 50% of their original light

output. LED lights are cool running and contain no toxic material such as mercury or lead. Th

emit no ultra-violet rays or infrared and can be safely recycled.

LEDs are destroyed by heat thus the heat sink is a key component in the life of an LED. The LE

heat sink removes the heat from the LEDs by thermal conduction, keeping the LEDs cool. Our

LED line uses a maximum surface area to force air flow away from the fixture.

It is important to understand that not all LED products are created equal. At Kuuala we strive

MR-16s and GU-10s are true retrofit lamps, which use 12/24V or 120V input respectively, usin

only 6 W of energy. Our PAR series lamps are ideal for spot or flood lighting. While our soft an

hard strips are ideal for accenting and ambient lighting.

Warm white - 2700-3500 kelvin - The most popular range where warm white color most closel

mimics that of traditional incandescent lighting. Most sought after in residential and commerc

applications.

Neutral White - 4000-5500 kelvin - A natural light with no underlying blue or yellow tones.

Cool White - 6000-7000 kelvin - A shade of white that has an underlying blue tone. It

perpetuates a contemporary look and feel that is very popular in art galleries, jewelry stores a
