    Description: The glide for /e/ starts from a

    point just between half close and half open front

    position, i.e., the RP /e/, and moves in the

    direction of the RP //, (see the diagram). The

    movement of the tongue is accompanied by a

    slight closing movement of the lower jaw. The

    lips are spread.

    gradually change to a loosely spread position.
