In many industries compres-sed air is a vital aid for drying,cooling and transporting, blo-wing-off and clean ing, loosen -ing and mixing and assiststhereby the economical rea-lization of processes. The range of applications has not reached its limit. In all theseapplications two aspectsshould be taken into consideration: Generatingcompressed air requiresmoney and the high-frequencynoise, this occurs mainly athigh pressures and by usingsingle orifice nozzles and candamage hearing. Therefore it isnecessary to use compressedair as economically as possible and to use moderntechnics of low noise.
Lechler has combined its totalknow-how of nozzle techno lo-gy, the practical experienceconcerning applications andnewest trends of research andhas provided a special offer tothis subject. 3Modern Nozzle Technics for More Efficiency and Less Noise.
By the development of newmultiple spray nozzles withspecially formed nozzle orifices, the noise causing turbulences at the air exit havebeen considerably reduced; atthe same time an improvement of the efficiencywas reached by the nozzleconstruction. Thus it is possible to reduce the airpressure and also the airconsumption but maintain aconstant blowing power.
This positive effect was reached mainly by dividingthe air stream into smaller air streams. Hereby the incomingcompressed air is led evenlyin to air channels, which arefavourably arranged with re -gard to streaming. The resultis a particularly even andpowerful total air stream.
The advantages for practicaluse are convincing:
More comfortable workingconditions by reducing the noise level by up to 12 dB.This corresponds to areduction by a half of thenoise for the human ear.
Lower energy costsby lower working-air pressureat the same blowing power. Thereby the air consump ti-on will be considerablyreduced.
Higher capacity by better blowing power fromlarger distances and by anevenly directed air stream.Thereby the efficiency willbe considerably increased.This new technology ofusing compressed air offersnew areas for application.
