What makes our Cultural Center unique and necessary?
It’s a home away from home.
Multiple student groups coexist in one space that supports their needs.
The student-‐driven programs provide experience with collaboration creativity, and project implementation.
There is support of intersecting identities-‐students can participate in multiple
groups, expressing and engaging their different selves.
Student’s initiatives and social activism are supported and encouraged.
Students’ can examine racial/cultural complexities and difference, and get to know others and seek where they are in their exploration of self.
It’s a space to hold safe discussions, where “race” is not a bad word.
