STEADY BASE IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

KUVIK MATHEMATIC ACTIVITY KIT

She counts to ten, but does she really know what ten means? With the Kuvik Mathematic Activity Kit numbers, mathematical concepts, geometry become alive. These colourful, well-

varied objects give endless fun and opportunity. Little learners just play, don’t even realise they are learning. Wooden tokens, counting sticks,

colourful shapes, teaching clock... you can find everything in one box.

WHAT IS INSIDE?

DIENES ATTRIBUTE BLOCK

ou can teach shapes, colours, sorting, patterns with these cardboard geometric shapes. You can use the frame as a template of primary shapes as well.

TEACHING CLOCK

You can easily engage your students in time-telling activities, because the clock faces can be split up. The colour-coded hour and minute hands and the separate clock faces are great for getting to know the time step by step. On the other side of the hour clock face you can find the p.m. numbers, on the smaller one you can practice the quarter phrases.

COUNTING BOARD

This tool helps teach the even and odd numbers, what’s more with the wooden tokens and dice it becomes an additional-subtraction board game. With this you can expand the base counting to twenty. On the other side, you can find a multiplication chart to 100.

DICES (2pcs)

Special dice for the little ones. On these dice, you can find the numbers 0-5. With these irregular objects, you can practise building the numbers to ten, learning even-odd numbers and they are easier to follow. The coloured dice can be used to demonstrate opposites, positive-negative numbers, adding-subtracting.

TOKENS (20 pcs)

The wooden tokens have red and blue faces. They are the key elements of understanding the quantity behind the numbers. You can easily demonstrate what the concepts “more-less, higher-lower” mean. But these colour coded objects are great for early reading as well.

COUNTING STICKS (100 pcs)

This bag is full of wooden colourful sticks which provide endless fun. It is great for developing fine motor skill, matching, sorting, counting. You can build geometric shapes, letters or even rhythms. This is where you can let your creativity fly.

NUMBER LINE

The number line is a great tool to practise counting, operations and equations. When you open the bar you can complete with negative numbers -10-0.On the other side, you find the value of numbers up to 100 represented by base 10 colourful blocks.

FINE MOTOR SKILL

When your kid is playing with these toys, her hand is always in motion. Her little fingers are doing a great exercise so her fine motor skills will be advanced.

BE CREATIVE, THINK DIFFERENT

Think different, try to see the world through your kid’s eye! Maybe this is the hardest part, to be brave, to do things in a different way. Try to understand how your kid thinks.

GIVE IT TIME!

Naturally, there will be times when your little one is not in the mood to learn. Try different tools and methods to keep her motivated!

GETTING TO KNOW THE BASE TEN- Get your number line and tokens!- Put the tokens on the numbers 0-5 (then 5-10)! Be aware of the right coloured side of the tokens!- Build towers as high as the amount the numbers represent!- Come up with questions about which tower is the highest-smallest? How far are those numbers from 0? Which towers/steps are red? etc.

RAINBOW SEQUENCE- Get your counting sticks!- Firstly, make a sequence with two different coloured sticks! (Later you can spice it up with three, four, five colours!)- Let your kid continue the sequence!- Later you can complicate this activity if you add specific directions to the sticks!

WORD BUILDER- Get those letters which your kids already know! - Shuffle the cards and deal each player!- Who can create the first word starts.- Place a word on the middle of the table!- Create a game by adding at least one new card to the table!

2D TO 3D- Get your counting sticks and a little playdough!- Make small balls out of the playdough. These will be the connection points.- Make geometric shapes in 3D!- Show what the concepts edge, apex, diagonal mean and which sticks are parallel!
