About the Author: Harper Lee• Born in Monroeville, Alabama.• She studied Law at the University of Alabama and spent a year at Oxford University.• Six months before graduating from college, she moved to New York to pursue a literary career.• To Kill a Mockingbird was her first and only book she wrote that became an enormous best seller in 1961 and a feature film in 1962.
