MONDAYTime Activity Organization/Equipment Teaching Points
9:00-9:30 Opening Ceremony
Camp-wide activity: “Everybody is it” tag
Set a boundary for this game (everyone must stay inside this boundary). Everyone is for themselves, however they may form alliances. The objective of the game is to tag others and be the last person standing. If you are tagged, you will sit down, but MAKE sure they know who got them out because if that person gets tagged by someone else, they sit down, and whoever that person tagged earlier are now back in the game again. If two individuals tag each other at the same time, the winner will be determined with a game of ROCK PAPER SICSSOR (Once). Winner plays on, loser sits down. Game terminates once there is ONE clear winner or when time expires (you can set the time).

TUESDAYTime Activity Organization/Equipment Teaching Points
9:00-9:30 Opening Ceremony
Camp-wide activity:
Human shape- human machine
Create a boundary for the game:Divide students up into multiple groups or if there aren’t enough stu-dents to form teams, then play as a whole group. The instructor will call out a shape (or letter, number etc.), and the students as a group have to form that exact shape (or letter, number etc.) with only their bodies. *everyone MUST be part of this final product. First team to accomplish will be reward a point. Can go into camp song- “Hi My name is Bob and I work in a Button factory)
This game en-courages stu-dents to work together, thus developing team work and social interactions between stu-dents.
9:30-9:35 Break off into squads
Head Coach will break off into Junior Coach squad’s
9:35-9:45 Water/ Washroom break
Do a head count before go-ing to the washroom giving each camper their own number•make sure all campers have a water bottle•do sunscreen check
9:45-10:25 Morning Arts and Crafts/ Dance Party
Discuss different ways people travel (by airplane, by car, by train, etc.)
Have campers act out these different ways then have them start on making little figurines out of clay, representing the means of travel.
While they are doing this- explain how this is relevant to sports (what kinds of sports incorporate these forms of travel?). Give them examples: There are different kinds of racing: car racing, bike racing, sprinting, ect.
Use the clay and make small figurines that repres-ent these forms of travel.
10:30-11:00
Snack break Wash hands before having snack/lunch or use hand sanitizer
11:00-11:45
Sport of the day: Tennis
Introduction to tennis: Proper ready stance, and grip
Tennis exploration activities – students shadowing coach on different skills. Coach prompting the students with questions: “can you hold the racquet this way? can you swing the racquet foreword, backward? Balance the ball on the face of the racquet? Etc.
Tennis drills – Divide into squads. Each coach will have their group lined up
Introduction to tennis funda-mentals
Physical liter-acy: Object ma-nipulation, catching, throw-ing, balance, running etc.
Exploration and being creative with equipment
2-3 meters away from the net. Coach will yell “GO”, and student will run up to the net, stop at the pylon, and catch the ball the coach will be throwing. They will toss it back to the coach and run to the back of the line. Next person goes once their teammate gets past the line. Progression: volley at the net, then run back to the end of the line and do 5 jumping jacks.
Jackpot – all the campers are on the other side of the net. Coaches are tossing balls (each worth a certain amount of points) in which the campers have to try and catch in order to gain points. You win the game by accumulating 1000 points or if you catch the ball that is jackpot. (*make sure to express safety first. Keeping their heads up and be aware of other campers).

WEDNESDAYTime Activity Organization/Equipment Teaching Points
9:00-9:30 Opening Ceremony
Camp-wide activity:
Set up Boundaries for the game, that are both visible and safe.
Knight Horse Cavalier Split kids up into pairs The partners split off to op-
posite sides of the playing area. One side forms a circle, then their partners stand be-hind them in an outer circle.
The inner circle rotates clock-wise, and the outer circle ro-tates counterclockwise. The leader yells out either "knight", "horse", or "cava-lier".
"Knight" means that one partner gets down on one knee and the other partner sits on his/her exposed knee. "Horse" means that one one partner gets down on all fours and the other partner sits on his/her back. "Cavalier" means that one partner picks the other part-ner up in the style of a groom carrying the bride over the threshold.
When one of these positions
Works on: team work skills
endurance
listening skill
partner work
respect
is called out, the kids have to scramble to find their part-ners and assume said posi-tion. The last pair to do so is out, and so it goes until there is a winning team. It's fun to make the kids jump and spin while they are rotating in their circles to make it harder for them to keep track of their partners.

aim is for no one to be able to see their teeth. They must cover them with their lips at all times. (pull them over your teeth as you would if you were rubbing in lipstick. Now go around the circle again saying zip. (It sounds more like zaip now!!)
Ok then explain to the players that they can change the direc-tion that zip is going by saying zonk which makes it bounce around again the other way. A person is caught out if any

Time Activity Organization/Equipment Teaching Points
9:00-9:30 Opening Ceremony
Camp-wide activity:
Samurai Warriors1. Everyone stands in a circle around or in a line in front of one person with the Boffer (pool noodles are great!) far enough away as not to be hit.
2. The Samurai swings at the group, either high, at head level, or low at ankle level.
3. If he swings high, the group ducks.
4. If he swings low, the group jumps.
5. He is not actually supposed to hit the participants with the sword, but if someone jumps when they are supposed to duck or vice versa, they are “out” until the one left is the next Samurai.
ADAPTATIONS:1)For a no loser’s game, the per-son who does the wrong thing can become the Samurai
2) For no losers, have two circles and person who goes wrong, switches circles
