In 2011, residents of Glyncoch (a smallvillage just outside Pontypridd in theRhondda Cynon Taf area) wanted to takegreater control of the development of theircommunity, while improving local facilities.

While those involved had big ambitions, including the building of a brand newcommunity centre, there was much work to be done in order to support a neworganisation and turn its plans into reality.

This included a learning needsanalysis for those who were involved with thevillage’s community developmentorganisation.
