We are excited to invite you to the 3rd Annual Fall Conference of the Michigan Revenue Cycle Association (MRCA)! This is the Association’s most exciting event of the year as we continue to focus on challenges of the healthcare revenue cycle. Our Committee has worked to ensure a varied program of professional development, networking opportunities and energizing speakers.

This year’s conference will kick off on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in the Exhibit Hall. We will begin our conference with opening remarks and education sessions starting immediately following the 9:00 AM start time. Thursday is a full day of current topics that affect you and your organization!

Kathy provides the skillset and tools needed to help individuals and teams create roadmaps to successfully move from current state to future state through customized education, training, and workshop-style facilitation.Kathy’s expertise include Program and Project Management, Lean Six Sigma Education and Training, Team Facilitation, and Coaching and Mentoring. Kathy holds an MBA from Davenport University, a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Society for Quality, and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. Prior to moving into full-time consulting with her company Energia, LLC, Kathy spent five years employed with Davenport University and 13 years with Spectrum Health. Her roles have included the Executive Director of Process Improvement, Institute for Professional Excellence Consultant, Adjunct Faculty, Senior Process Engineer, and Radiation Oncology Project Manager.

“Generational Challenges in the Workplace”Brian Garver, VP, Business Development/Marketing Keybridge Medical Revenue CareEvery generation has its challenges in the workplace; whether its a Gen Z just entering the workforce or the Baby Boomer on the brink of retirement. Popular stereotypes suggest that these generational differences present challenges for managers, but they can also offer opportunities for growth and development. We will explore the traits of each generation (along with some humorous misconceptions) and the challenges we may encounter at different ages or stages of our career.
