About Us

Clare Language Centre has been providing

English courses for over 20 years. Adults,

teenagers and children can enrol with us. As we

are also a teacher training school, we give high

quality English language programmes to all of our

students.

Where are we?

Why us?

We are based in Ennis, County Clare in the West of

Ireland along the world famous Wild Atlantic Way.

Our nearest airport is Shannon, just 20 minutes

away and we are approximately two and a half

hours from Dublin airport. The Atlantic coastline

and the world famous Cliffs of Moher are on our

doorstep!!

Irish people are known for their friendliness

and hospitality and especially so in the West of

Ireland. Our host families are fantastic and are all

personally known to us. The town of Ennis has

only 30,000 habitants so it´s safe and secure and

you can walk anywhere easily. Our teachers are all

qualified EFL professionals from English speaking

countries.

Courses for juniorsWe have many years of experience working with junior students, so we understand the

importance of making junior programmes both fun and interactive. There are specialised

sports available, but the most popular programme is Multi-activities with a choice of Arts

or Sports – see the timetable below.

Clare Language Centre offers English with Horse

Riding with 12 hours of riding in a beautiful

family run, AIRE approved, horse riding school.

All instructors are fully qualified and the facilites

include an spacious indoor sand arena and lots

of fields and trails for outdoor hacking. We

transport the students to and from the riding

school each day.

English and Surfing

English and Tennis

People come from all over the world to surf

the waves at Lahinch Beach. Students of all

levels learn from fully qualified instructors and

afterwards can use the jacuzzi, swimming pool

and showers to relax and rejuvenate. Students are

transferred to and from the school to Lahinch.

Ennis Tennis Club is situated a 10 minute walk

from the school. Established in 1887 all instructors

have many years of experience of coaching

teenagers. Our students join the summer camp

for Irish teenagers.

English and Horse Riding

English and GolfGuided by our golf professional, students can

improve their handicaps or start as beginners at

golf. Students are transported from school to play

at Woodstock Championship Course in Ennis and

at East Clare Golf Club.

Summer schoolsDingle ResidentialIn July we offer a residential programme in Dingle, County Kerry. National

Geographic once called the Dingle Peninsula “the most beautiful place on

earth”. Our residential programme is based in Coliaste Ide, a boarding school

situated in parkland looking out onto Dingle Bay.

Kinvara HomestayWe have a summer school for two weeks in Kinvara, Co. Galway. The school

is equiped with full size basketball courts as well as two astro turf pitches

and a tennis court. Kinvara is a small marina town just 40 minutes from

Galway city. This picturesque town is the perfect place for younger learners

to have an authentic Irish experience in a beautiful,safe, small town.

We offer families the opportunity to come to

together in a small, safe town with specialised

adult learners from beginner level to proficiency.
