Project 1: Climate Change in My Region

Objectives:To prepare a plan for integrating adaptation to climate change into established training programmes To assess the potential of adaptation training through a small set of selected training programmesAssess the local demand for risk analysisAssess the local demand for risk analysisPartnership: Laurea and group of local universities, local municipalitiesTime table: January 2010 – December 2012 (3 years)Outcomes:3-4 semester papers in selected fields (fish food, creative writing, public awareness campaign, elderly care for immigrants)Final conference/seminar on adaptationReport on training needs and risk analysisFunding: Local regional or national funds

Project 2: Meeting Points

Objectives:To create awareness of how Climate Change is perceived in different countriesTo create a global network that can be used for student exchangePartnership: Global network of universities (10-15)

Support from business (Logica, Microsoft, Google …)Support from the EU commission, British Council …

Time table: January 2010 – January 2011 (1+ year)Outcomes:Series of ½ day/1 full day workshops organized by a group of students in each participating each university Workshops will be broadcasted globally through internet once a month for a full year (10+ sessions)Material will be collected in one DVD and distributed in all participating countriesFunding: University funds and grants form business community
