YOUR HOME PAGE

•  After your first visit, you’ll start on Today’s Recommended Sessions page each time you return to the site.

•  From here, you can “preview the activity” and/or start that day’s session, which is comprised of more than one activity per day.

THE ACTIVITY•  Click, “Preview Activity” and you’ll see what

is needed to prepare for the activity, which sports the fundamental movement skill supports, and a demo video that can be viewed multiple times by yourself or your students prior to trying the activity.

•  You can also print the activity, and send home with students who may not have internet access, and who may want to earn their extra Training session XP points at home.

COMPLETE SESSIONS

•  Click to start and you will be taken through the class Team session for that day.

•  A countdown timer will count down as you set up, prepare, and get your class prepared for the activity.

•  If you finish setting up before the timer finishes, click “next up” to move to the activity timer page.

•  To watch the video with your class first, clicking “play” stops the timer. If you do not have enough time to set-up, click “pause”.

DOING THE ACTIVITIES

•  After setup is complete, it’s time to get active!

•  Your class will participate in the activity designed for their age and skill range, but please adapt them based on your class size, make up, and environment.

•  Once again, use the “next up” and “pause” button as needed.

•  There may be 1 to 3 activities in a session with just as many set-ups preceding them.

RATING

•  To finish, you’ll rate each activity. This is a very quick but important step.

•  It ensures that you and your students accumulate the XP points at the end of each activity.

•  It also helps us create more useful, beneficial and fun activities from the input of teachers from across Canada to provide more of what you and the class love and less of what you don’t.

PINS, XP and COINS

•  After some sessions, new Pins appear congratulating you and your students on your progress!

•  XP and Coins accumulate on your “Students” tab class team list, and the pins appear on the students’ personal profiles when they login with parents at home.

AUTOMATICALLY COMPLETE SESSIONS

•  We appreciate there may be field trips, pro-d and gym days where students get enough exercise, so you have the ability to auto-complete up to 8 class Team sessions per module.

•  Click the gold >> arrow button and you can automatically complete and acquire the XP points and coins for your students for up to 8 Class Team sessions per module.

•  There are 20 sessions to complete within each module, making it flexible to your teaching schedule.

AUTOMATICALLY COMPLETE SESSIONS (continued)

•  NOTE: To make it flexible, the Challenge can be started at any time during the module. Feb 13 is Day 1, but you can begin later and still complete the previous activities to acquire all of the points needed for you and your students to gain module prizes.

•  When a session is completed, the session block will turn green on the Module Calendar.

•  Incomplete modules make you and your students ineligible for some prizes.

AT-HOME TRAINING SESSIONS•  What are at-home Training sessions?•  These are the fundamental movement

(FM) sessions that students can practice at home, building a solid foundation of daily healthy habits--helping them become active for life.

•  For students, with each Training session they complete at home, comes additional experience points (XP), coins and prize-winning opportunities.

*We encourage teachers to recommend parents and students continue the Activity Challenge at home in tandem with the program they’re completing at school.
