Cohort 3: Business Intelligence & Analytics
Cohort 2: Creating a Consumer Centric Healthcare Delivery System
Cohort 1: Reducing the Total Cost of CareWhat do health plans, health systems, and other organizations need to do to better manage the costs of providing and purchasing care? This cohort will explore partnerships, analytical tools, and other strategies to provide better care to high-need, high-cost patients, effectively address social determinants of health, and ultimately bend the cost curve.
What are the key components of a robust business intelligence strategy and how can they be leveraged to provide meaningful, effective solutions for healthcare organizations? This cohort will explore the need for analytics and data, as well as the strategic application of data and analytics tools to improve organizational performance.
How will consumerism shape the healthcare organization of the future? This cohort will examine current initiatives, including HFMA’s Dollars & Sense, as well as strategic shifts needed for organizations to become truly consumer-centric. You’ll explore how to deliver an integrated, convenient, and innovative engagement experience that matches consumer expectations.
WE’LL ADDRESS THESE QUESTIONS: 1. What tools and systems are most effective at harnessing the myriad of data available,
enabling the identification of real improvement opportunities?2. What are best practices in delivering meaningful data to make the most effective
and efficient treatment and financial decisions? 3. What trends in data analytics are the most promising for improving healthcare?
WE’LL ADDRESS THESE QUESTIONS: 1. How can healthcare organizations better partner or collaborate to reduce
the total cost of care in the US?2. How can healthcare organizations identify and effectively address social
determinants of health that are affecting healthcare costs in their community?3. How are successful organizations managing clinical, financial, and social data
to reduce total cost of care? 4. What are specific strategies that provide the greatest success in reducing
the costs of care?
WE’LL ADDRESS THESE QUESTIONS: 1. What are the tools and supports needed to engage the consumer as a partner
in health care, and who should provide them?2. How must the healthcare delivery system restructure and collaborate to enable
optimal care management and patient engagement?3. What steps must your organization take to identify high-priority, high-leverage
process improvements that benefit both consumers and the healthcare system?
