Introduction Definitions:- 1:The ability to influence a group toward the achievement of a vision or set of goals. 2: It is the process of directing & influencing the task related activities of groups members. 4. Concept of Leadership It is an action of leading a group of people or organization. A person in formal role of leader may not possess leadership skills nor be capable of leading. Leadership is essentially related to a persons skills, abilities & degree of influence Islamic concept of leadership Rudy's three keys to leadership 5. Role of Leadership The most fundamental role of leader is to: Establish a clear vision. Share that vision with others Formulate plans Organize people Achieve the goal through execution of plans 6. Difference b/w Leader & Manager Manager He dont make a roadmap of plan for implementation. He just give orders, not direct his employs. In any difficult situation, he surrender Leader He motivates his followers & help them in their activities. He humbly request his followers, not just give orders at the time of any difficulty 7. For example: for shelf arrangement to involve a library attendant And For cleanliness to involve a sweeper 6 Which style is best according to you?
