CONNECT
BIBLICAL COMMUNITY
What do we mean when we say ‘Impact’?
Being on mission with God.
“The people of God partnering with God in His redemptive mission.”
-Reggie Joiner
SESSION 1: GOSPEL EXHORTATION
• What is the Gospel Exhortation? – Making Disciples
• [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”Matthew 28:19-20 ESV
– Bearing witness• [8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Acts 1:8 ESV
The mission is before us to be a witness (Acts 1:8)• …in Jerusalem (Family/Friends/CG)• …in Judea and Samaria (City)• …to the ends of the earth (World)
Small Buildings. Big Influence.• We want to be much more than just a place to meet on
Sunday.• Do our actions reflect the call from Acts 1:8 and Matthew
28:19?
HUDDLE EXERCISE • How is your CG being intentional with making and
impact and being a witness to your community around?
• What cultural obstacles are obstructing our ability to be missional? How do you overcome them?
• As you prepare to lead your CG in being a part of the mission of God, how can you better cast this vision to your CG?
SESSION 2:OUTWARD EXPRESSION
So how do we express what the Gospel commands?
IMPACTGROWTH
CONNECT
BIBLICAL COMMUNITY MISSION
LIVING ON
“…and to the ends of the earth.”
“All Nations” is the objective of the mission• Revelation 7:9• Stopping after the city is incomplete. • Both Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:20 have this in
mind.
“…in all Judea and Samaria…”
C|LIFE FOR THE CITY• The Mission
• Connecting people to God and one another through intentional service to our communities that they may see Christ more clearly.
• The Prayer/Hope• Our communities will experience relief, restoration, recovery,
renewal and foremost love, through our spirit empowered efforts to imitate Christ
• Our people will experience life transformation and conformation by Christ working in and through them.

MISSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
FORNEY
HUDDLE EXERCISE• What are some actual needs (not perceived needs) of our
cities that your CG can help provide for?
• When you think about your immediate obligations (work, school, PTA, etc.) what opportunities come to mind on how you can be missional with the Gospel?
• What things need to be in place in order for your CG to actually make a difference in your city? Think practically.
SESSION 3:INWARD EXAMINATION
“…in Jerusalem…”Jesus first said, “You’ll be my witnesses in Jerusalem…”
before he said, “Judea and Samaria” and “the ends of the earth”
Your ministry and leadership to your family is primary.
If your Christianity doesn’t work in your heart and in your home, then it’s foolish to believe it will work in your CG
or in the city.
“An unexamined life is not worth living.” -Socrates [23] Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts! Psalm 139:23 ESV
Set your heart and your gaze upon God…• To love and lead your family well• To live missionally within your city• To yearn for the world to be restored• AND GO LEAD YOUR CG IN THE MISSION
HUDDLE EXERCISE Be encouraged...
“But you WILL receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you WILL be my
witnesses…”
