Shared leadership involves utilizing the experts within every organization - those who have experienced this coaching relationship with their colleagues, bring these qualities and practices to their leadership and work.

The leadership learning is then based on real experiences in leaders’ daily work, reflective observation of those experiences by oneself and with others, feedback from others, opportunities to question, problem-pose, problem solve and analyze.

Leadership is modeled and learned throughout daily action building on the notion of “colleagues as resource people.”
