This unit describes the outcomes required to lead an audit team as they undertake a road safety audit. It covers sharing information prior to audit conduct, collection and analysis of evidence, conduct of exit meeting and providing audit team member’s with feedback on their performance.

Compliance with legislative, regulatory or certification requirements may be required in various jurisdictions.

The Guidelines provide practitioners and decision makers with ways to formally address road safety issues before accidents occur. They are based on the latest information available and incorporate the combined experience of State road authorities throughout Australia, local government and Transit National.

PresenterDamien Chee (DC Traffic Engineering)

Your Presenter is Damien Chee of DC Traffic Engineering who is involved in all aspects of road development including route development and assessment, road design, traffic engineering and road safety.

Previously Damien held the position of Road Safety Audit and Crash Investigation Manager at the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) where he developed policies and procedures in road safety and road design . He was also responsible for developing and delivering training courses in road design and road safety engineering.
