Our Story

From the beginning, 4 Points Church focused on reaching the least, the lost, and

the lonely with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The life-giving message of the Gospel,

the passion and joy of Sunday services, and the simple style of 4 Points brought a

welcome response from people from our surrounding communities.

Today, the 4 Points Church is renewed in its mission to reach the least, the lost, and

the lonely with the gospel of Jesus. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting

church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to seek God with pas-

sion.

As exciting as our early history has been, we firmly believe that the best is yet to

come!

Our founding leaders dreamed of a

church with a simple goal—to help peo-

ple connect with God so that their lives,

families and eternity could change.

With the help of a small group of peo-

ple committed to seeing this dream

become a reality, 4 Points held its first

service on October 16, 2011, at the Pizza

Inn in Duncan.

Our Strategy

We consider reaching people who do not know God personally to be one of our greatest responsibilities. Our Sunday services are for people at all stages in their spiritual journey but are primarily designed for those who do not yet have a genuine rela-tionship with God.

We believe life change happens in the context of relationships. SmallGroups have one simple purpose: to bring people together. God createdus to live in community with others, and it is only then that we canexperience the full life He intends for us.

The 4 Points Growth Track exists to help you discover and develop yourpurpose and live the full life God cre-ated for you. The Growth Track ismade up of four steps, which guide you through next steps in your jour-ney to know God, find freedom, dis-cover purpose, and make a differ-ence.

All of us were created by God to make a difference in the world aroundus. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can impact the lives of others. We believe your life will never make sense until you find, develop, and fulfill your purpose.

Our BeliefsGod is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and exists eternally as three co-equal persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, everpresent, never-changing, completely trustworthy, and holy. His very essence is good. He is our loving Father who is faithful to his people and his promises.

08

GOD

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived a completely sinless human life, and is the only person to be completely human and also completely God. He was crucified on a cross, dying in our place for our sins so that we may be recon-ciled with God. After three days he rose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return again to reign as King of Kings.

JESUS CHRIST

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He lives in every believer from the moment of salva-tion and provides the Christian with understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and convicts peo-ple of their sin. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. We walk out our faith in expectation of the Holy Spirit’s power displayed through miraculous signs, divine miracles, and divine healing.

THE HOLYSPIRIT

God exists as one being in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

THETRINITY

The Bible is God’s holy written word. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the ultimate source of truth for Christians, giving testimonies of God’s character, stories of Jesus Christ’s life and ministry, as well as instruction and wisdom for daily life.

THEBIBLE

Humankind was made in the image of God, created to be in a perfect rela-tionship with him. We became alienated from him through our own disobe-dience, which the Bible calls sin. We are incapable of regaining a right rela-tionship with God through our own efforts, which is why God sent his Son Jesus to take the penalty for our sin so that we may be reconciled with God.

HUMANITY

We were created to exist forever, with “forever” being spent in one of two places: heaven or hell. Spending eternity in heaven means being in perfect union with God, while an eternity in hell means being forever separated from God.

ETERNITY

Salvation comes as a result of believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was crucified, died, and rose from the dead as a sufficient payment for the sins of man. Salvation is a free gift from God to all, and cannot be earned through our own efforts. It is only by trusting in Jesus Christ that we can be saved from an eternal separation from God. Eternal life begins the moment you receive Jesus Christ into your life through faith.

SALVATION

The Church is made up of a community of believers who are unified through faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, which are found in the Bible. Members of the Church seek to share the hope of Christ to the world through love, good deeds, and the message of the Gospel.

Kids Ministry

SURGE Student Ministry

Our kids ministry offers experiences for kids ages 6 weeks to 6th grade. They meet during our morning worship.

We do not allow children into our main worship experience and sixth graders have the option to go to a class we have named Level-Up or attend worship with their parents.

Our student ministry meets on Wednes-day nights from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. We have seen growth in this ministry to an average of 45 students per Wednesday Night.

SURGE has an amazing group of volun-teer leaders that help Pastor Joe with this ministry.
