Permanent Position- Full Stack Developer- Salary negotiable Our client is looking for a Lead Full Stack Developer, who is experienced with Python/ Django. You will be working with Python/ Django, databases including SQL and NoSQL variants. Expert in at least one modern front-end framework (e.g. Backbone, Angular), strong working knowledge of Linux, strong working knowledge of REST, JSON, XML. They are an innovative start-up in London working on software products, delivering a unique connected platform linking mobile apps with a powerful data back-end. The existing iOS and Android apps have garnered rave reviews from US institutions and media including TechCrunch, The Guardian and the FT, and the platform is already generating substantial revenues. The company is now looking to build on this success through a rapid acceleration of product development and associated expansion of the London development team. They have a unique product and are poised to take a world-leading position in a hugely untapped market. They are a start-up, so bags of enthusiasm, dedication and a hunger to learn are essential. You can enjoy the fantastic location and warehouse office space (they have just taken another floor - so they need to fill it!) and de-stress with a game of ping-pong. You’ll be expected to take complete ownership of whatever you are doing, and apply 100% of your energy at all times. What they are working on generate analytics that feed into a powerful Dashboard product, which is licensed to blue-chip clients. The Dashboard must deliver a market-leading experience in terms of state-of-the-art responsive web UX / UI, rapidly-expanding feature set, high availability and high scalability. The Lead Full Stack Web Developer is a senior role with the following responsibilities: - Lead Dashboard developer, with overall ownership of the product - Working closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to define requirements - Prolific creation of robust and highly maintainable code - Demonstrating best practice in use of testing, version control, and SCRUM mechanics - Line management of additional front-end and back-end developers, leading by example - Reporting to the Head of Engineering Required skills and experience: - 6 years’ experience as a lead developer across all areas of the stack - 2 years’ experience leading small teams - Expert in Python, and ideally Django
