What’s In It For You…
1. Point of Contact (POC)
2. Collaborative Training
3. Advocacy
4. Communications Organizational Model
WIIFY #1:Agency Point of Contacts
• DMB Model• Relationship Defined by You and Your POC• Easier/Smarter Way to Collaborate
• Avoid Confusion and Inefficiencies
• More Perspectives • Including Countywide
Point of Contact (POC)No more calling around OPA looking for assistance – “Who Does XXX?”
How it Works:1.For anything in OPA-land call your POC.2.If POC on leave or not available, call deputy director (Jeremy).3.Can still call Merni, if BOS related or otherwise needs director-level attention.
WIIFY #2:Collaborative Training
• Document and build upon skill sets. • Communicators (from all county agencies)
can provide monthly 10-15 minute “Cliff Notes” training and overview opportunities.
• Examples: NewsWire, Diverse Communities, FCPS
WIIFY #3:Advocacy• POC (and OPA) can assist you as an
advocate for communications support, if necessary.
WIIFY #4:Communications Organizational Model Simplified:
External * Employee * Emergency
Why Collaborate? Because Change Has Big Teeth.
