    Admission Notification for PG Diploma programmes:

    Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following postgraduatediploma programmes of the Institute for the session 2010-11 (Spring 2011), which are offered incollaboration with Lotus Clinical Research Academy Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore (LCRA).

    1. PG Diploma programme in Bioanalytical Techniques 1 year (2-semesters)2. PG Diploma programme in Pharmacovigilance 1 year (2-semesters)

    A) How to Apply: Download and print the application form. Send completed form (in A4 Sizeenvelope) with required enclosures and crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- (in favour of BirlaInstitute of Technology, payable at Ranchi) to office of the Head, Department of PharmaceuticalSciences at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi 835215, by the due date. Write PGDiploma 2010 (SP 2011) on the envelope.

    C) Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must hold a B. Pharm degree from a PCI and AICTEapproved Institute / MBBS / BVSc / BDS / BAMS / M.Sc. Life Sciences degree from arecognized University. Candidates must have a first class or minimum 60% marks in average(45% for SC/ST) in graduation / postgraduation (QE). In case the examining Board does notaward a class, the percentage marks in graduation / postgraduation will be computed as averageof marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).

    Notes: (1) Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence(http://www.edcil.co.in ), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate well in advancefrom the evaluation division of the AIU (website http://www.aiuweb.org ).(2) In case any Board / University awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent

    marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board / University. In case aUniversity does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, theequivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possibleCGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
