Dear candidate,

first of all let me congratulate to your decision to apply for Local CommitteePresident of AIESEC Comenius University in term 2016.

Role of LCP is to lead executive board for period of one year, team of youngand diverse people through their experience. Moreover, vision of LCP setsdirection for whole committee and determines its next development for nextperiod. You have unique opportunity to create legacy, on which nextgenerations can build on, even long time after your term.

To be honest, being LCP doesn´t mean you can change everything, be best ateverything and always be motivated. Thankfully LCP is not only person incommittee and you have great opportunity to lead whole LC towardsachieving your vision. One thing you need to understand about this position isthat you are responsible for both, development of organisation andexperience of people who form it.

Accepting final responsibility for everything often makes this position one ofthe loneliest. However more loneliest it gets, more opportunities you get tochallenge yourself and get to know people you would never tell can becomeyour close friends. After few months of being in this position I found out that itis just as lonely as you allow it. It is as challenging and enriching as you allow.

As a part of Board of Presidents you take responsibility which influences direction ofwhole country. You are representing AIESEC Comenius University during legislationassemblies what is one of the most powerful tools in network.

One year ago, while I was preparing for election process, everyone was repeatingsame thing. In this position, nothing is granted. You have one year to changesomething, use it the best you can. Considering circumstances which occurred fewmonths later, we as Board of Presidents have decided to change EB timeline and oneyear has suddenly become “few more months”. Why am I telling you this? Preparationis very important and it helped me more than I expected, but you need to be preparedfor unexpected year full of surprises, challenges, opportunities, successes and failures,diversity and relationships which last.

The decision you have taken is very brave and ambitious. Already applying itself andpreparation for election process is challenging and enriching at the same time. I amhere for you, feel free to approach me anytime, it will be my honour to help you.

Important information:

First part of application process is letter of intent - letter saying that you want toapply for LCP and does not require additional information. Deadline for sendingletter of intent is 11.11.2015 20:00 and might be prolonged by current LCP. Lettermust be sent to pavla.rabatinova@aiesec.net

All parts of the application must be in English. The length of the questionnaire should be at maximum 8 pages (withoutendorsement letters & blank paper challenge).You can change the design of the application, but you cannot change the content ofthe questions.Include a link to video in which you introduce yourself and your personal motivationfor the role of LCP. Video should have min. 3 and max. 5 minutes.Please, attach to questionnaire also min. 2 and max. 4 endorsement letters. (min. 2of them from fullmembers of AIESEC Comenius University).Attach your CV in English.

Application which will not be consisting of all parts will not be accepted.

Election process:Elections will be held on 23.-27.11-2015, detailed information will be provided one week inadvance.

STRATEGIES1) Blank paper challenge ‐ What strategies will you use to achieve yourvision and how will you evaluate if your term as an LCP was successful?2) Please, write 3 GCPs (good case practices) from foreign entities that youwould implement in your LC.
