Antioch Unified School District2017-2018 LCAP Overview
The Local Control Fu nding Formula (LCFF) is a California funding calculation that recognizes
that students with additional academic needs –
low-income , English language learner, and foster
youth students – need additional financial
resources to support their education. The LCFF
provides three levels of funding: 1) Per-pupil “base
grant,” 2) “supplemental grant” for each student
in one of the three student groups, and 3) a
“concentration grant” for districts with more
than 55% of their students in one of those three
groups.
The LCFF’s local accountability counterpart, the
Local Control and Accou ntability Plan (LCAP) is then used as a planning tool to show
how districts will improve student outcomes and
overall performance in alignment with California’s
eight State Priorities.
