Jesus cried out in a loud voice,

“Lazarus, come out!”

Page 2: "Lazarus, come out!"

Jesus calls us from our tomb of doubt and unbelief, from the

darkness of our fear and anxieties; from the depths of our weaknesses and lack of hope. Do we believe Christ has the power to transform

our lives? Do we take the time to listen to his call?

By God’s grace, Francis learned to see the face of God in the leper and to love what once he had despised. May God help us love the lepers of today.

Next Sunday we begin the celebration of the holiest and most powerful of weeks of the year. I urge all of us to make Holy Week the top priority in our lives. Even in the parish, meetings and other events give way to a full and conscious participation in the Lord’s Paschal Mystery: the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ. Please see the bulletin for all of the beautiful and inspiring liturgies of Holy Week and plan to take part as much as possible.

Love, Fr. Vince
