Students play instruments in each category and receive consultation and recommendations from our professional staff. Parent- Teacher Conferences are on the last day, Thursday, June 13 th . There will be no class that day. Choosing an instrument to play is an important decision for each student. Middle school students receive beginning instruction for instrumental music in band or orchestra as they enter sixth grade. Consecutive years of band and orchestra continue to build on the skillset gained in prior years, so enrollment at the sixth grade level is very important. The summer novice program gives students a great head start in this important choice. Students who took novice as an incoming 5th grader may repeat the session as an incoming 6th grader. El programa de verano para principiantes ofrece a los estudiantes instrucción y experiencia práctica con instrumentos de latón
(trompeta, trompa, trombón y tuba), instrumentos de viento de madera (clarinete y flauta) y cuerdas (violín, viola, cello y bajo).
Los estudiantes tocan instrumentos en cada categoría y reciben consultas y recomendaciones de nuestro personal profesional. Las
conferencias de padres y maestros son el último día, jueves 13 de junio. No habrá clase ese día.
Elegir un instrumento para tocar es una decisión importante para cada estudiante. Los estudiantes de la escuela intermedia reciben
instrucción inicial para música instrumental en la banda u orquesta al ingresar al sexto grado. Los años consecutivos de banda y
orquesta continúan desarrollando el conjunto de habilidades adquiridas en años anteriores, por lo que la inscripción en el nivel de
sexto grado es muy importante. El programa de novatos de verano les da a los estudiantes una gran ventaja en esta importante
elección. Los estudiantes que tomaron el novato como un estudiante entrante de quinto grado pueden repetir la sesión como un
estudiante entrante de sexto grado.
