Membership The Lawrence Community Workshop has approximately 30 committedmembers, and expects rapid growth once we have moved into our newbuilding. Pre-enrollment is greatly appreciated, and your funds will be helduntil we move into our new space and open for business. You can join atlawrencereates.com.
Costs We are committed to ensuring the Lawrence Community Workshop isaffordable. Individual memberships are just $49 per month, plus a $20initiation fee. Family memberships are just $89.
Call for tools Our tool donation campaign is underway. Our tool priorities are set by our members, and we are adding them as new members come aboard. We arededicated to meeting our members’ needs for tools, training, and other
services.

Planned Location We plan on moving into the Hill-owned building located at 837 New Jersey in early April. It is a4000 square foot building, perfect for our needs.
Next Steps We are beginning to plan the first project of the Lawrence Community Workshop – building outour new building. The building needs insulation, upgraded HVAC, and interior walls.
We plan to put together a project that will include top flight construction management, andemployment and training opportunities for young people.
Our objective is to do the greenest work we can, including superinsulation of the building, toensure low energy costs in the future.
The redesigned facility will include space for:
An art gallery for the Lawrence Art Guild
Shared exhibition, performance, and practice space A design workshop, with Adobe and 3D design and prototyping tools, including a 3D
printer A wood shop and metal shop A photo studio with lighting A textile shop Other space, TBD by our members.
