Happy Harmony Day to you all,
Never have these words been more important across the world as we all come to grips with the recent tragic events in New Zealand. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all our families who may have been affected. Thinking of you during this tough time.
What a wonderful day it was yesterday at our great school, with Harmony Day/Grandparents Day/Book Fair Celebration.
The support our Grandparents and/or family members gave to the celebrations was outstanding. Our open classrooms were a hive of activities, the library was constantly busy and the amount of delicious family cultural heritage food to share was tremendous.
Celebrating inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone was the constant message shared across our K-6 classrooms.
A big thank you to the teachers for coordinating, as well as all our students and families for supporting this day.
Our school Librarian Mrs Doherty was one of our busiest staff members yesterday. We are pleased to announce just under $9000 worth of books and stationery were sold during the book fair. This equates to over $2500 that Mrs Doherty can now spend to purchase new books for our library. What a great achievement!
A last minute reminder that tomorrow is a gazetted half day public holiday in Albury.
Our school day will finish at 12noon. Thank you in advance for making arrangements to collect your child/ren at this time. School buses will not be running at this time.
Have a great day.

SPORT NEWS
Riverina Representation A big week on the sporting arena last week with two of our students making Riverina teams.
Ellie Lyons was selected in the girls basketball team following strong performances at the trials. Ellie and her team now participate in the NSWPSSA State championships in June, against all the other regions from around the state. Travel won’t be an issue for Ellie as Albury are hosting the carnival at Lauren Jackson Stadium. Congratulations Ellie!
Finn McDonnell is our other Riverina representative. Finn has made it through to the State Swimming Championships at Homebush later this term. Finn is no stranger to this competition as he has represented Riverina before. Congratulations to Finn on another wonderful achievement.
AFL Clinics
Students across all our classes spent a PE lesson with AFL development Officers on Tuesday.
Judging by the feedback from the students, this opportunity was a great success. It is always pleasing seeing students enjoy themselves in activities coordinated and delivered by specialised sport specific coaches.
I’m sure these sessions may have created some interest amongst the boys and girls who now hopefully register at a local Auskick centre.
Albury Zone Rugby League Trials
Good luck to Archer Carroll, Eric Tui, Isaiah Manuaifua, Jack Barker, Adrian Thapa and Riley Collins who will all be trialling for the Albury Zone Rugby League team.
All of these boys are keen on their League and will be great ambassadors of our school.
Albury Zone Netball Trials Tarni Evett, Ellie Lyons, Miette Dehlyia and Zahna Deery will be trialling for the Albury Zone PSSA netball team next week. We would like to wish them all the best.
Riverina Eastern PSSA AFL Trials
Mitchell Clarke, Cody Odgers and Adrian Thapa enjoyed a day on the footy field today as they trialled for the AFL team.
We look forward to hearing how the boys got on when they return.
