VISITING SCHOLARS and POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS

As the Laurier EMTM program embarks on its mission to enrich innovation and competitiveness of Canadian industry, the idea for an executive breakfast series was conceived in early 2013. The topics of discussion are to be exclusively on innovation as a powerful means of competitive differentiation, and each session is to be directed by an expert in the field. In an effort to bring the most current innovation research into practice, a renowned, active researcher was invited to launch the series in March. Dr. Joseph Paradiso of MIT Media Laboratory spoke to a group of innovative leaders about the embedded sensors and the ubiquitous electronic nervous system in the inaugural session. The next session is planned to be led by Patia McGrath of Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, whose topic will focus on the innovation insights from both academia and industry.
