This session consists of the traditional yearbook pose at the studio, and then more casual poses outside around the studio grounds. The session includes 2 changes of clothing (an outfit for the traditional pose and another for the outside photos), a proofbook to keep, your own online gallery to share with family and friends, the cropped digital file for the yearbook, and your own personal app for your phone with up to 10 of your favorite photos.

Session three | 300

The session includes 4 changes of clothing (an outfit for the traditional pose and 3 others for the outside pho-tos), a proofbook to keep, your own online gallery to share with family and friends, the cropped digital file for the yearbook, and your own personal app for your phone with up to 10 of your favorite photos.

Session two | 200

This session consists of the traditional yearbook pose at the studio, and then more casual poses outside around the studio grounds. The session includes 3 changes of clothing (an outfit for the traditional pose and 2 others for the outside photos), a proofbook to keep, your own online gallery to share with family and friends, the cropped digital file for the yearbook, and your own personal app for your phone with up to 10 of your favorite photos.

session four or equestrian| 500

Session Four consists of the traditional yearbook pose at the studio, and then more casual fun shots with up to 5 changes of clothing at a location(s) of your choice and/or mine within the Skaneateles area. The Equestrian will take place where you stable your horse(s) and they will dictate the session and it’s length, so generally count on a few hours. As with the other sessions, this can also include the traditional pose at my studio if you wish. Either of these sessions include a proofbook to keep, your own online gallery to share with family and friends, the cropped digital file for the yearbook, and your own personal app for your phone with up to 10 of your favorite photos.

a few things to know about your session

What to Wear

Girls

I highly recommend either a 3/4 length or long sleeve dark shirt for the traditional pose. This can be black, dark brown, gray, or any other deep color. This will make the focus of the photograph on your face and not your arms or exposed skin. I do not recommend shirts with ruffles, deep v-necks, or large scarves.

Boys

A shirt and tie with a jacket is best. However, if that’s not who you are, a nicely pressed dress or polo shirt work wonderful. I do not recommend a white shirt without a coat however. The white just takes over the whole photo.

Boys

A real nice shot is the dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and tie off. Just bring clothing that you like wearing and make sure it’s not wrinkled! Matching socks are great too! Believe me, it’s happened!

Girls

It’s important that you spend some time thinking about your selections and bring clothes that truly reflect you and your personality. With that said, here is some advice if you decide to go and purchase new clothes for your session. Do not buy anything that you normally would not wear, but think might be cool for your shoot. If there is something you see that you love and is not what you normally would wear, please have who ever is shopping with you take a photo of you in it so you can see what it looks like “on film” as opposed to in the mirror. It has hap-pened where it looked great in the mirror but not that great in a photograph. Weird, but true. White dresses are beautiful but if you are very fair and very blonde, the dress will wash you out. If you are adamant about wearing a white dress and fall under this description, consider bringing a fun jacket or sweater to wear with it. Red dresses are amazing. However, like bold red lipstick, you need to own this color. You either look great in it or you don’t.

make up

Girls

For the girls, it’s always a good idea to have some makeup on for your session even if you do not wear it. A little powder and mascara will go a long way to make your eyes pop! I would also highly recommend you treat yourself to a makeup session by a profes-sional. If you need a recommendation, just call or email me.

When should I schedule my session? Due to the na-ture of the senior season, it is important to sched-ule your session as soon as possible. The best time is before school or sports start again. Most yearbook photos are due mid October and the schools are get-ting strict on this deadline. If your deadline is prior to October, please schedule your session in July or Au-gust to ensure your session is edited in enough time. Please note: all sessions are edited in the order they were photographed. No exceptions. Also, weather becomes an issue in the Fall and rescheduling be-comes a bit of a challenge for both parties. However, it always works out one way or another!

When is the session fee due?The session fee plus the NYS Sales tax of 8% is due at time of the session.

Can you invoice me? It is not my practice to invoice. However, should an invoicing situation occur, please be aware your session will not be edited until said invoice is paid. The invoice will be emailed to you and is due upon receipt.

When do I see my proofs? You can expect to see your gallery approximately 2-3 weeks from the time of your session.

Will all my photos be retouched? No. If necessary, I do retouch the ones I use for gallery cover and the front cover of your proofbook. I do not retouch each and every photo in your gallery.

What is the proofbook? The proofbook is a spiral bound book with your favorite photos you have se-lected from your gallery. Once I have received your picks, the proofbook will arrive within 2 weeks. Please note: this is a proofbook and the images you chose will not be retouched.

What if I would like all of my favorites retouched for my proofbook? You can definitely have this done. Please contact the studio for details and retouching fees. If you opt for this you may have to wait a little longer for your proofbook since this process takes some time.

Boys

This really does not apply to you, but a great haircut is a plus! Just make sure you don’t cut your hair a couple of days before your session. Sometimes it needs to grow just a little to make it just right.

What is the app you mention in your packages? The app is a new feature that can be installed on your phone. The app will have your top 10 favorite re-touched photos for you to share with friends and on social media.

Can you send the low resolution or web ready imag-es to me? No. I no longer send the low resolution or web ready digital files . This is where the app comes in. You will be able to share your photos via the app on social media.

Do we send the yearbook photo to the school? No, I do. Once you have chosen your image for the year-book, I will crop it to the yearbook specifications and email you a proof. Upon your approval of the proof, I will email the file to the appropriate person.

How long do my photos stay online? All gallery imag-es will be kept on file for one year from the date of the session. After that date, all images are removed from the server and placed on an archival hard drive off site. Any orders placed after images are off site will require a minimum prepaid order of $100.

If you have any other questions please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 315.729.3581.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you and scheduling your session!
