Registration DetailsCurrent McGawYMCA members may register for summer day campsstarting January 17, 2011. Members of otherYMCAs and non-membersmay register starting January 31, 2011. Day camp registrations require a$25 non-refundable deposit per child per week. Deposits may betransferred for the same participant from one week to anotherthrough March 25, 2011. Beginning March 26, 2010, a new deposit willbe required if you wish to transfer or register for a different week orcamp.

ScholarshipsA limited number of scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.To apply, you must complete all three of the followingsteps:

1. Check the appropriate box on your completed registration form.2. Include your most recent Federal 1040 IncomeTax form.3. Include at least 50% of the regular camp deposit.

Payment Details:Full payment for each session is due on the dates listed below. Afterthe due date, camp fees are not refundable.

CAMP RAINBOW:Age 2 - Entering KindergartenCamp Rainbow offers all the fun and all the learning experience of day camp, in a half-day program designedspecifically for pre-schoolers. Arts and crafts, games, songs, field trips, beach days, and swim lessons (for children ages 3and over) are just some of the activities they will enjoy. Campers are sure to love spending the summer in thisfun-filled learning environment.

World of Eric CarleChildren, children, what do yousee? I see a week of creativity! Inthis week we will study the worksof this beloved children’sauthor/artist and we’ll create afew pieces of our own.

Kids Cuisine 101Unleash your inner master chef asyou prepare fun and healthyrecipes.

Lunch Bunch • Extended Day Program • New Changes!Add to your camp experience with Lunch Bunch! Hot lunch isprovided along with expanded activities and projects thatextend the theme each week. The program includes lunch and is 5 daysa week,Monday - Friday from 12 PM - 2 PM (ages 3 by January 1- entering K), $95 members/non-members.

CAMPWaNaGo: Entering 1st - 5th GradeAt the YMCA, we build strong kids - strong in confidence and the character-building values that help them grow intoresponsible and caring youth and adults. Our campers learn these life skills in a special community of fun and friendshipthat only a camp likeWaNaGo can offer. Along with weekly field trips, swimming lessons, beach days, interest groups, andgreat classroom and outdoor activities, children will gain better understanding of themselves and their world whilebuilding lasting friendships.

Five SensesTake OffWelcomeWaNaGo Campers!From taste challenges to ooey,gooey touch tests to team trustwalks, get ready to kick off thesummer with your senses pushedto the limits!

Stop, Drop, and Dance!This week campers will exploreLatin rhythms, African beats, andcontemporary dance moves.Campers keep moving all weekand will compete in aWii Dance,Dance Revolution dance-off!

Alice in WonderlandCampers take a tumble down therabbit hole as they compete intea cup water races, play lawncroquet like the Red Queen, andparticipate in a Mad Hatter TeaParty.

Channel YLights, camera, action! Campersare all drama this week as theydirect, act, and learn about the artof filmmaking. Skits, silly dances,and photographers will all be apartof the magic.

Archeo Art FestFrom rock design to ancientmural creation, we get a fun fusionof creativity and history! Allpieces of art and creations will bedisplayed at a science fair at theend of the week for all to see.

Rocky Mountain MeltdownLet’s take a trip to the RockyMountains filled with outdoor skillbuilding activities. Campers learnto tie knots, make trail mix, andtest their skills on a rock-climbingwall.

X Marks the SpotAhoy sea dogs, sailors andmermaids! Staff and campers willdress in pirate themed attirewhile following clues to buriedtreasure. Campers will play seagames like Main Deck, QuarterDeck, Poop Deck, and Capturethe Black Pearl.

All BallCampers will play traditional ballsports like soccer, basketball, andfootball, but will be introduced tonew sports like broom ball andwater polo. Other activities forthe week include water BALLoonthrowing contests and a popcornball creation.

Operation LifeworksKids learn how they can make adifference by making a wish cometrue in their community. Camperswill finish the week with a beachclean up day and a deliciousbarbeque.

SUMMERADVENTURE CLUB (SAC): Entering 6th - 8thGradeMake plans for your child’s summer, and secure your peace of mind. Options are available from 7:30 am until 6:00 pmeach week - mix and match to suit your family’s schedule. All campers will be engaged in team-building challenges,creative workshops, outings, and daily outdoor activities. SAC provides trained and experienced staff and a structuredand interactive program.There is also swim and gym, a beach day, a field trip, and a water park trip every week.

Cost per week:SAC, $175 members / $225 non-members(Lunch not provided, bring sack lunch)

JUNIOR COUNSELORS INTRAINING (JCIT): Entering 8th - 10thGrade

Hours per week:5-week program, July 18 - August 19Mon - Fri from 12 PM - 5 PM

Cost for 5-week program:$150 members / $200 non-members

At JCIT you will...Be a Leader: Serve as a counselor and mentor in aprogram for 5-, 6-, and 7-year-olds at our Foster ReadingCenter Summer Program.

Gain Experience: Job shadow at theYMCA in a varietyof roles and receive basic water safety instruction skills.

Be aTeam-Player: Learn team-building skills, groupmanagement, activity planning, and child development.

Get Certified:Receive Red Cross First Aid and CPRcertifications upon successful completion of training.

SetYourself Apart: Begin to build your job experienceand receive notification of the City of Evanston’s Job Fairfor the 2012 SummerYouth Employment Program.

Registration for JCIT:

Join us in this 5-week leadership program for teens to gain job skills and counselor training experience while helpingto lead younger day camp participants in fun summer activities. Gain on the job experience while having a blastmentoring younger day campers during field trips, pool, beach, and gym activities.This is a perfect experience for thosewho are interested in being a future counselor and a great way to practice leadership skills while having fun with friends!
