The SOCAR Polymer investment project is the first of its nature and scale, and is currently building two plants in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, in order to produce 180,000 t of polypropylene (PP) starting from the 1st quarter of 2018 and 120,000 t of high density polyethylene (HDPE) starting from the 3rd quarter of 2018. The project’s main objective is to replace the import and increase the export potential of the country. 30% of the production output will be directed towards the local market; the remaining 70% will be exported to Turkey and other European markets. The total investment cost of the SOCAR Polymer project is around $750 million. SOCAR Polymer is the first project in Azerbaijan implemented on the basis of a non-recourse project financing principle, without a guarantee of the parent company. been starting to work on May 25, 1998. Since the beginning till

nowadays Company “Herba Flora” has been applying new

technologies, machines and mechanisms to the production in order to
