Friday. We travel to Hull for our overnight ferry to Rotterdamenjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.

Saturday. Today we make our way to Metz in north easternFrance and board the MV Diana with time to settle in and explorethe ship’s facilities before dinner.

Sunday. We set sail for the Luxembourg town of Remich, knownas the “Pearl of the Moselle”. From here we drive through thescenic Mullertahl arriving at captivating Echternach, the oldesttown in Luxembourg, famed for its fascinating ancientarchitecture. In addition to an abundance of historic buildings andmuseums, there is a lake nearby making the town an intriguingblend of culture, history and natural beauty.

Monday. We deviate on the River Saar to reach delightfulMettlach where we join our coach to venture into the spectacularHunsruck Hills.

Tuesday. Trier is Germany’s oldest town and has the Romanremains to prove this status. We enjoy a full afternoon to explorethis interesting destination at our own pace. Perhaps head to the

Puerta Negra and hop aboard the Romer Express land train tosee the sights.

Wednesday. Today’s treat is medieval Bernkastel, a town full ofhistory and famed for its wines and romantic half-timberedhouses.

Thursday. Our cruise heads downstream to reach Cochem, atraditional german village where snaking streets of wine tavernsnestle beneath the storybook edifice of Reichsburg Castle. This isa place where legend, history and folklore are woven into everywinding alleyway.

Friday. We sail to charming Koblenz where the Rhine and Mosellerivers merge. The region’s two thousand years of history have lefttheir evidence in the form of imposing castles, grand townhouses,atmospheric public squares and Romanesque churches.

Saturday. This morning we travel north to board our ferry to Hull,enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.

Sunday. We journey homeward.
