The Solution

We shall create a middle-ware software that will calculate the discount to be offered for a particular room based on the following criteria

Percentage of un-booked roomsPeriod being peak season or off-seasonWeekday or weekend bookingHistorical trend for the property (If the property

normally gets filled on the last day by walk-ins the last day discount will not be applied)

with MP Tourism’s existing online booking software as well as on-site booking system to give this discount to walk-in as well as online customers

The quantum of discount offered to each customer will be decided by the system itself based on pre-fixed criteria and parameters.

This will take the discount system out of human intervention

A webOS based LED Television system that displays the currently valid rates for vacant rooms for the next day

This system will also use the middle-ware proposed above to get currently valid rates

This will ensure transparency in the system and all walk-in customers will get a fair deal
