New Lasnamae is an extended centre with retail, leisure and restaurant uses to satisfy the strong demand for further retail and leisure in this part of the City. The proposals include a two level mall extension to the current centre served by 1000 car parking spaces.

Lasnamäe Centrum is the major full service shopping centre located at the heart of Lasnamäe District, the largest residential suburb of Tallinn (over 120,000 population), right next to Laagna Tee, the main arterial road leading east from the city centre.
Lasnamäe Centrum was opened in 2003 and remains the most visited shopping centre in east Tallinn, with circa 4 200 000 visitors annually. Currently customer spend is an average of 2500EUR/m2 (increasing annually by an average of 2% over the past 5 years).

CATCHMENT AREALasnamäe district is the largest residential suburb in Tallinn. Mainly built in the 1980’s with more new homes being built each year, the area is characterised by high density apartment blocks. The area is home to over 120, 000 population (2015).
The primary catchment area of Lasnamäe Centrum within 15 minutes’ drive time includes the people living and working in Lasnamäe district and the whole eastern side of Tallinn: approximately 250,000 people.
This catchment area includes most of Eastern Tallinn, including wealthy Pirita and Viimsi and the neighbouring areas of Muuga and Maardu, together with the high traffic flows passing the center on Laagna and Mustakivi roads driving into and out of Tallinn from the east.

THE EXISTING CENTRELasnamäe forms part of the largest concentration of retail in Tallinn, forming part of approx. 100 000 m2+ of retail space, offering food, DIY and garden goods, furniture, electronics, car show rooms as well other retail and leisure goods in the big box retail park Tähesaju city. The biggest and most well-known brands represented in the area are Bauhaus, Rimi and Prisma. The area will be further developed over next years with new retail buildings for Motonet, Selver, Hortes Garden center and many others.The district of Lasnamäe is characterised by high density residential buildings, but more and more it is becoming the home to many manufacturing and commercial firms.
The current centre is anchored by Rimi (foodstore) and offers a wide selection of everyday primary goods and services, with over 75 stores, including fashion stores Denim Dream, Monton and Mosaic, an Apollo Bookstore, Goldtime, Jysk, Euronics, Sportland and other well-known brands. It is the local service centre for Lasnamae and has Swedbank, Nordea and SEB bank branches and the only Eesti Post postoffice in eastern Tallinn. It has large easy surface parking for 700 cars. As a result of the centre’s great location, Lasnamäe Centrum prides itself as the ‘first stop’ for many of the 250,000 residents from the eastern areas of the Tallinn due to it’s strong local alternative retail experience to that on offer in the City Centre or elsewhere.
The centre has a high proportion of bi weekly customer visits (26%) and a highly loyal customer base (over 85% returning visitors). Over 4,200,00 visitors per year visit the centre.

LOCATIONGetting to Lasnamae Centrum is easy, whether it be walking from the surrounding residential areas, by car or by public transportation ( a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre with a bus stop directly in front of the centre). The shopping centre is located adjacent to Laagna Tee, one of the main arterial roads connecting the city centre and the large residential districts to the east and the suburban residential areas out of the City.
Lasnamäe Centrum is positioned on the junction of Laagna tee and Mustakivi tee, two key roads, and these interconnect with the high traffic flows on Peterburi Tee to the South. The extended centre is to have easy access and exit from both these important routes.
