By mirror engraving the image into the back, the coloured layer is removed during the engraving process and the material becomes transparent in these places. Order TroLase ADA Signage with self-adhesive film applied to the back. This allows you to easily mount letters cut-out from the material plate on base plates or walls. During assembly use the cut material plate as a template for spacing and as a line level. A few tips for best results: - Materials must be even and without bends or distortions.- A cutting grate should always be used when cutting plastics, in order to lift the material.- Remove the protective film, in order to prevent discolouration or excessive smoke.- If excess smoke results, then too much energy is being used. In this case increase the speed.

Brass is a premium material that results in a lustrous gold finish when engraved. Made from a combination of copper and zinc, it can be oxidized to produce black text. Premium Leaded Brass has a small amount of lead and a much higher copper to zinc ratio which makes it easier to engrave and oxidize to a truer black.

Recommended Heat Setting: 380 degrees F, 35 seconds, with medium pressure.Our Unlacquered stainless steel can be engraved to black using a Fber laser or CO2 laser and Cermark compound. Nickel can be engraved the same way, or diamond dragged and oxidized to produce black text. Nickel and lacquered steel can also be sublimated.
