Scientific program of the Summer School We are very honored to invite you to participate in the 2016 Edition of the International Summer School “Capture the World with geomatics Faster, Smarter, Better “an event initiated by the Faculty of Land Reclamation and Environmental Engineering from University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest and the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics from University of Bucharest, in collaboration with Prof. Pietro Grimaldi, expert of Architectonic Photogrammetry of the Politecnico di Bari, Italy, which will be held between 12th and 20th of September 2016.
Objective of this event is to establish cooperation between teachers, researchers, experts and students, from Romania and foreign countries, while offering a unique insight into the most recent research and developments in GIS, rapid modelling, mapping, static and mobile laser scanning, range imaging, active imaging techniques for 3D representation of static and dynamic objects and scenes, geospatial data infrastructures for environmental monitoring and analysis, cadastre, bathymetry.
The Summer School will provide you with the opportunity to build new connections and partnerships, and further promoting the development of geosciences in the future.
Summer School outline The program will cover a vast range of topics through: New Leica Geosystems Technology, Electrical resistivity method, Georadar in different applications, HidroGeomatics, Bathimetry, General cadastre in Romania, Different utilities of drone, Laser scanning applications, GNSS, Surveying, The National Centre of Cartography (mapping).
The Summer School activities will take place in the Faculty of Land Reclamation and Environmental Engineering main building 59 Marasti Blvd. 011464, Bucharest, Romania.
University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine from Bucharest (UASVMB) is located in the north side of the Bucharest with an old tradition of 163 years.
Within the UASVMB belong the Faculty of Land Reclamation and Environmental Engineering (FLREE), who runs under this name since 1990. The Faculty prepares students in all three cycles, with the following specializations: Land Reclamation and Rural Development, Engineering and Environmental Protection in Agriculture, Land measurements and Cadastre, Economic Engineering in Construction.
