The following are the instructions detailing the proper usage, operation and maintenance of your Laser Lite Lane. Please read these instructions carefully before operating your Laser Lite Lane.

How Laser Lite Lane work The Laser Lite Lane employs a MEMS structured sensor and controlling techniques to deploy a red virtual laser bicycle lane behind the bicycle. The MCU inside the Laser Lite Lane is used to process multi-axes motion sensor applications through realtime data acquisitions by the microchip during cycling motion. This series of data allows the Laser Lite Lane to differentiate 4 different kinds of cycling scenarios. In return, the LEDs and the Red Laser Lane respond differently towards these 4 different cycling scenarios as follows:

A. Starting Up: Inserting batteries into Laser Lite Lane. 1) Unscrew in anti-clockwise direction using a screwdriver. 2) Lift up the battery cover. 3) Insert 2 x AA batteries and ensure the correct polarity. 4) Re-attach back the battery cover and re-screw in a clockwise

direction.

B. Attaching NBR (seatpost grip material) for the fixture. 1) Insert the 4.15mm NBR into the fixture. 2) Clip the fixture onto the seatpost. 3) Should the fixture fail to provide enough grip on the seatpost,

Insert either the 1mm NBR or 2mm NBR in between the seatpost and fixture.

C. Tighten fixture and attaching Laser Lite Lane. 1) Tighten the fixture with the manual screw. 2) Insert Laser Lite Lane onto the fixture. There will be a click sound

which means the Laser Lite Lane is secured on the fixture. 3) The Laser Lite Lane is ready to be used.

D. Removing Laser Lite Lane from fixture. 1) Hold on to the fixture with one hand and with a finger on the click,

pull back the click and gently remove Laser Lite Lane.

Cleaning / Maintenance

The maintenance of high standards of cleanliness on the surface of the Laser Lite Lane against dirt and dust will ensure that the Laser Lite Lane is always in optimum operational condition.

Please ensure the following:

⌧ All surfaces should be cleaned using a soft damp non abrasive cloth and polished dry.

⌧ Continual use of cleaning products may result in a dulling of the surface.

⌧ Do not use solvents, bleach, abrasives, synthetic detergents, wax polishes or aerosol sprays.

⌧ The Laser Lite Lane consist of dedicated electrical components and it should not be immersed into to any form of liquid for cleaning.

International Warranty Our International Warranty Service (IWS) guarantees that each Laser Lite Lane unit is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

Terms & Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply to the International Warranty Service (IWS) from 3L Optoelectronics Technology Pte Ltd (“3xLLL”) in respect of the purchased 3xLLL equipment (“Equipment”) from an authorised dealer / distributor of 3xLLL and accompanied with a 3xLLL International Warranty Card (“Warranty Card”) and proof of purchase.

2. International Warranty Service (IWS) enables customers who travel with or relocate any IWS-eligible 3xLLL product to receive warranty service in any country where 3xLLL products are sold and serviced. IWS-eligible equipment can be serviced by 3xLLL or 3xLLL resellers authorized to perform warranty service under the warranty terms wherever the specific 3xLLL product is sold and serviced. The length of warranty service is based upon the originating country date of purchase, however, the method of service provided in the servicing country may be different from the method provided in the country in which the machine was purchased. Service procedures may vary by country, and some service and/or parts may not be available in all countries. Some countries may have fees and restrictions that apply at the time of service. Certain countries may require additional documentation, such as proof of purchase or proof of proper importation, prior to performing IWS service.

3. This Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship encountered under normal use and installation of the Equipment, subject to these terms and

conditions. Unless otherwise specified, this Equipment Warranty is valid for 12 months from the Date of Purchase (“Warranty Period”).

4. This International Warranty Service (IWS) is invalid if it has been defaced or altered.

5. Lost or damaged Warranty Cards will not be re-issued. The Warranty Card must be presented with the original purchase receipt when sending Equipment to 3xLLL for the International Warranty Service (IWS)

6. The defective Equipment or parts thereof covered under this Warranty shall be repaired or replaced (with comparable and/or refurbished equipment or parts) as determined by 3xLLL in its sole discretion free of charge. Any insurance, handling, transportation, delivery and other incidental charges in respect of the servicing of the Equipment and for services beyond the scope of this Warranty shall be borne by the Purchaser.

7. All decisions made by 3xLLL in respect of the servicing of the Equipment (including repairs, replacements or issues relating to defects of workmanship or materials) shall be conclusive and the Purchaser agrees to be bound by such decisions. Any defective Equipment or part thereof replaced shall become the property of 3xLLL.

8. This Warranty does not cover a) Loss or damage to Equipment arising from or in connection with (i) abuse,

tampering modification and disassembling by any person other than 3xLLL’s authorised personnel; (ii) negligence and/or misuse (including accident, improper storage, exposure to moisture, excessive temperature, sand, dust, dirt, other pollution or other environmental conditions and failure to follow precautions or proper operating instructions stated in the instruction manual such as improper installations); (iii) fire, flood, lightning strike or other acts of God; and/or (iv) deficiencies in consumable parts such as battery leakage.

b) Loss or damage to Equipment arising from or in connection with the

malfunction of, connection to or use of parts, accessories and consumables not authorised or recommended by 3xLLL (including re-conditioned, tampered, re-used and non-genuine 3xLLL parts, accessories and consumables). In such event, 3xLLL reserves the right to cancel this Warranty immediately.

c) Non-3xLLL products used in connection with the Equipment such as batteries.

d) Equipment with its serial number removed, defaced or altered. 9. To the extent allowed by the applicable local law, the remedies in this Warranty

are the Purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedies. 3xLLL shall not be liable for loss of data or any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages (including loss of anticipated benefits or profits) whether based on contract, tort or otherwise, relating to or arising out of the Equipment.

10. No implied warranty, including that of satisfactory or merchantable quality or fitness for a particular purpose, applies to the Equipment after the Warranty Period. Except as provided in the Warranty Card, no other warranty (express or implied) or guarantee given by any other party in respect of the Equipment shall bind 3xLLL.
