Enjoyable lessons – effective learningWe use a range of different materials, such as course books, the Internet, authentic materials and your own experience. You will do a lot of pair and group work whilst focusing on project work. This will help you to assist each other to complete gaps in your knowledge and exchange ideas.

Academic objectives

We are very happy to welcome you to your International Projects language experience designed especially for you by our own IP schools; Europa School of English, a British Council accredited school and CELF, our French language school.

Our academic aim is to help you improve and become confident in your all-round language ability to achieve your individual goals, such as experiencing travel abroad (maybe for the first time), career development and personal growth. In class your teacher will help you improve in both receptive and productive skills, develop intercultural competence and help you to become a more autonomous learner, so that your learning can continue after you leave us.

Secure supervision

We guarantee well-trained and secure supervision: Interna-tional teams who are carefully selected and have excellent training supervise our junior students during the entire stay. Our staff members have been chosen in accordance with strict legal guidelines and have undergone 4 – 10 days of intense training in preparation for their job at our Junior Language Schools. Many of them have worked with us for several sea-sons. Supervision is provided on a 1:15 ratio for students over 13 years of age and 1:10 for those aged 12 and younger.

We take care of the parents

It is a huge step for parents to let their child travel abroad (probably for the first time). We are aware of that, which is why we are available 24/7! Besides our office hours, we provide an emergency number during season. Our staff are always in contact with the teams in the IP language schools and resolves all issues swiftly.

With IP, you‘re not alone

Page 8: Language courses abroad 2015

Young people from all over meet in our schools to spend their holidays learning a foreign language together. The lessons reflect local life and tie in intercultural experiences such as understanding life in other cultures and countries. In the after-noons and evenings there is an extensive activity programme organised by our International Team. You will try new things and find out what is important to you. It’s fun and lets your personal-ity shine through. You will get to know your own talents and interests better than you thought and at the same time you’ll develop your social and team-working skills by completing activities with your friends. As everything is done in the foreign language, you’ll be able to put your language skills into practice. Within no time, you’ll begin to notice how much easier the language is when used on a regular basis.

Schools with personalityThe learning environment in our language schools is very impor-tant to us. We have choosen our destinations carefully and always seek to create pleasant surroundings for our students. Our schools are located in a traditional English university cam-pus, a stunning castle beside the Rhine River or for example in a former church, which has been completely renovated. The city centres and hot spots of your destination are always near by!

Typical day at IPOn your first day of school we’ll have you take a placement test. Afterwards you’ll be placed in the appropriate study group so that you and your peers can learn more effectively. Most language classes take place in the morning so that in the afternoon our students can participate in the activity programme. Depending on how intense your progress on language ability shall be, you can choose to have lessons in the afternoon as well. During our daily assembly we’ll give you all the information you need and the following TTT (time to talk) is to clarify your questions and doubts. After lunch it’s time for action. Take part in our afternoon and evening activities 7 days a week or just socialize with your new friends.

Engaging activity programme7 days a weekWe offer an exciting and supervised activity programme during afternoons and evenings – seven days a week. Our staff members come from diverse backgrounds, allowing them to bring a wide diversity of skills that will enrich your stay. The team organises a varied activity programme - full of sports, creativity, culture and lifestyle that will motivate you to participate. In the after-noons you have the choice of various activities on offer and in the evenings there is always at least one planned activity for you to participate in. For our youngest students (10-12 yrs) we offer programme as a compulsory age appropriate full programme throughout the week.

IP Ocean LoungeThe international meeting point in our summer schools is the IP Ocean Lounge, which is a chill-out area to relax in and get together. The Fruit n’ Fit Corner provides fresh fruit and water to our students all day long - 7 days a week.
